When I click home or first logon the site comes up with everything I expect like Admin Messages, and News in the center, However if I say click on Your Account it would then show up under the News module in my case.

I am able to generate page configuration assignments to not do that, But I will have to do it for every single module.

Now I am preety sure this will be a basic newbie question but I seem to have missed it well and truley.

Probably you want to modify your master to set the generic behaviour of your site. Then customize the sections that you want to behave different. The default behaviour is to show the center blocks in the homepage only, after that, the main module takes all the main column.

I guess I don't take your point when I read that you want the Account Panel under the News module. That sounds like two main modules, or you have a News block showing some news headings in the 'center' block position?
